THE STEPS OF HALAL CERTIFICATION
HQC EUROPE
To obtain HQC halal certification, our partners must follow a 6-step certification procedure from the application, audit, and validation of the certificate. This is the halal certification process to follow:
1
APPLICATION
Companies that wish to certify their products as halal must first send us a certification application. To do this, they must register on our platform by filling out a form with all the necessary information. The information that must be provided relates to both the company and the processes it uses to ensure that it operates in accordance with halal standards.
2
CONTRACT
Once the application is submitted, an evaluation of the file will be carried out to determine the company's Halal compliance. A contract will then be signed between the parties indicating the different types of certification.
3
PRELIMINARY AUDIT (F1)
Once the contract has been signed, a preliminary audit is carried out in order to evaluate the halal quality of the company that wants to certify its products. Our technical team carries out an initial assessment of compliance with halal certification standards. They start by checking documents on the raw materials used, established procedures, or methods of packing, storage, and transportation. If the documents are positively assessed, an initial inspection of the premises will be carried out.
4
AUDIT (F2)
If the results of the pre-audit are positive, a first-class audit is organized at the company's premises. For facility inspection, our experts operate according to a strict verification plan to ensure halal compliance. The halal certification criteria verified by our experts include the production or slaughter process, control procedures, equipment, facilities, as well as the disinfection and cleaning methods used to prevent halal products from being contaminated with illegal products. Samples may be taken for further laboratory testing.
5
DECISION MAKING
After the audit, a report is made and sent to our Halal Committee. If there have been laboratory tests, the results are also transmitted. If all the evaluations made by the experts are positive, the company will be considered to be in compliance with halal certification.
6
HALAL CERTIFICATION
When the company gets a positive rating, it receives a Halal certificate that it can display on its premises. Additional checks and audits are then regularly organised to ensure the continuity of the halal quality of your products.
