THE STEPS OF HALAL CERTIFICATION
HQC EUROPE
To obtain HQC halal certification, our partners must follow a 6-step certification procedure from the application, audit, and validation of the certificate. This is the halal certification process to follow:
1
APPLICATION
Companies that wish to certify their products as halal must first send us a certification application. To do this, they must register on our platform by filling out a form with all the necessary information. The information that must be provided relates to both the company and the processes it uses to ensure that it operates in accordance with halal standards.
2
CONTRACT
Once the application is submitted, an evaluation of the file will be carried out to determine the company's Halal compliance. A contract will then be signed between the parties indicating the different types of certification.
3
PRELIMINARY AUDIT (F1)
Once the contract has been signed, an initial audit (F1) is carried out to evaluate the halal conformity of the company seeking certification. Our audit team performs a preliminary assessment of compliance with halal certification standards, beginning with a review of documentation on raw materials, established procedures, and packing, storage, and transportation methods. If the company meets the preliminary requirements, the process proceeds to Audit F2.
4
AUDIT (F2)
A second audit (F2) is then conducted to complete a more detailed evaluation. Our experts follow a strict verification plan to ensure halal compliance. The criteria assessed include the production or slaughter process, control procedures, equipment, facilities, and the cleaning and disinfection methods used to prevent cross-contamination with non-halal products. Samples may also be taken for laboratory testing.
5
DECISION MAKING
After the audit, a report is made and sent to our Halal Committee. If there have been laboratory tests, the results are also transmitted. If all the evaluations made by the experts are positive, the company will be considered to be in compliance with halal certification.
6
HALAL CERTIFICATION
When the company gets a positive rating, it receives a Halal certificate that it can display on its premises. Additional checks and audits are then regularly organised to ensure the continuity of the halal quality of your products.
